Pakistan is currently grappling with one of the most severe financial crises in its history, alongside a deteriorating security situation. This decline is particularly concerning as no province remains immune to the security challenges.

Critics of the Pakistani Government argue that a power vacuum has emerged, with intelligence agencies reporting rampant oppression and corruption at the hands of the Military and inept leadership. This has made it increasingly difficult for the country to address the escalating financial and security challenges.

Numerous experts have concluded that the instability and fiscal challenges in the country are indicative of a lack of good governance.

The escalating economic crisis, the worsening security situation, the rise in corruption within the security and defense institutions, the alleged support to ISIS, and the hostile actions towards neighboring countries have all contributed to a growing discontent among the populace towards the government. These policies have seriously endangered the stability and security of the nation.

Although the IMF agreed last July to provide $3.5 billion in aid to Pakistan, the inflation rate has soared to an overwhelming 25%, reaching up to 100% on certain food products.

Over the past year, Pakistan’s currency has devalued by more than 50%, leading many families into severe poverty. Additionally, due to severe mismanagement, the security situation continues to worsen.

The security situation has become so tense that even the Pakistani army, which prides itself on being the strongest and most advanced army in the region, no longer has access to most tribal areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

On the contrary, the corrupted military officials and incompetent leaders deflect blame onto regional neighbors, particularly Afghanistan, for the internal instability.

Furthermore, the deteriorating security and economic situation in the country, which was brought about as a result of the incompetence and widespread corruption of the country’s authoritarian military generals and civil government officials, is exacerbating the security crisis in the country, and state capital is subsequently being used in an attempt to calm the crisis down.

Facing additional challenges could further escalate the situation within the country, bringing it to the brink of total collapse.
