Al-Mersaad has received information that the special forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) have conducted an operation against a significant network of ISIS in Herat province.
As per sources, this operation took place within the past few days, leading to the apprehension of several key active members of the ISKP.
Sources indicate that this particular network was responsible for a series of attacks in Herat province, including the recent attack in the Guzarah district that claimed the lives of six individuals, one of whom was a child.
Furthermore, sources informed Al-Mersaad that the network in Herat was under the leadership of the operational branch of ISIS located in the Balochistan province of Pakistan, and that some of the detained members had recently traveled to Balochistan.
It is important to note that following the suppression in Afghanistan, the operational leadership of the ISKP has relocated its headquarters to Baluchistan province, Pakistan, from where it coordinates its activities within Afghanistan and other neighboring countries.
