The Islamic World’s Responsibility Towards ISIS Part Four

Imam Bukhari, may Allah have mercy on him, in his book Sahih al-Bukhari, has narrated a hadith from the Prophet of Islam, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: “I will stand by the pond of Kauthar and quench the thirst of my Ummah. People will approach me to drink water, but suddenly some will be driven away and deprived of the water of the pond of Kauthar. I will call out that these are from my Ummah, but it will be replied to me, ‘Are you not aware of what they have committed after you?’” The esteemed scholars of hadith have included the following three groups of people in this blessed hadith: First: Those who break the unity of the Muslim community and choose to separate from it. In another blessed hadith, a curse is pronounced on such individuals who break the unity of Muslims. Have the terrorists of ISIS not shattered the unity of Muslims across the world, especially in Afghanistan? Have they not fragmented and separated their own organization? By doing so, they have created division and millions of Muslims have been martyred! Have ISIS not stolen the mineral resources and equipment of Muslim countries? They are the ones who will be driven away from the pond of Kauthar and deprived of its water.

Second: Those who introduce new inventions in religion and make them part of the religion will be deprived of the pond of Kauthar, especially those who harbor enmity and hatred towards the noble companions and the elders of the Ummah. Who among the troublemakers of ISIS has innovated more than them? To the extent that they married foreign women in the presence of their husbands! They married non-Muslim women in Syria and seized the personal property of the people. They presented the Quran and hadith as evidence and distorted them. They destroyed the graves of the noble companions with bombs and martyred scholars in the name of rebellion, and above all, they were the greatest enemies of the elders of the Ummah. This second characteristic is 100% applicable to ISIS.

Third: Those who make religion subject to their desires and interpret the Quran and hadiths according to their whims.

How the troublemakers of ISIS have made religion subject to their desires! How they are waging war against the sacred Islamic system and misusing the texts to claim legitimacy for themselves! These three signs that the noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned, are present in them.

It is the responsibility of the Islamic world to set aside material interests and satanic policies and to initiate a social struggle against these types of tribulations, which aim for nothing but the destruction of the Ummah, and to eradicate them. Otherwise, their virus will spread further and harm the people; it is better to neutralize this fitnah from its inception in every country. Alhamdulillah, our brave ones have eradicated this germ, and it is currently on the verge of death.
