The U.S. Department of Justice announced on Friday that a Pakistani citizen has been arrested in connection with an attack in support of ISIS.
The statement indicated that a 20-year-old Pakistani citizen, identified as Muhammad Shahzeb Khan Jadoon, was residing in Canada and had planned to carry out an attack in New York City in October following his entry into the USA.
It is noteworthy that, following Tajikistan, Pakistan is a country from which a significant number of citizens are recruited by the ISIS organization for utilization in attacks beyond the region.
